Llanarmon-yn-ial Community Shop

The Community Shop at Llanarmon-yn-ial is a not-for-profit village shop and newsagents run by local residents and volunteers. It provides an essential outlet for the locals in a small Welsh Village. They sell a lot of locally sourced produce and the locals have found the shop an invaluable resource especially during the lockdown.

I recently spoke to Patrick one of the volunteers and asked for an update of how the system was working for them since opening in 2013.

"The community took over running the not-for-profit village shop in 2013. As most of the shifts are staffed by volunteers, we believed that a fool-proof barcode-based system was the way to go. We researched various EPOS solutions and were most impressed by the response from POS Logix also the demonstration and willingness to adapt the system to meet our needs. That confidence has been rewarded over the intervening years as POS Logix has always ensured that we get the benefit of relevant system enhancements. An example of this is when our data was moved into the cloud giving us the reassurance that nothing would be lost!
